Marcia got us a Roomba for Christmas. It works great. You can program it to go at night or during the day when you are not around. It seems Livi would rather it be programmed to be run while she is around. I have to admit, I could watch it all day for some odd reason, it is just plain fun.

Christmas Day
Christmas morning was hectic but fun. Livi still felt the need to open all of Jake’s presents as well as Brooke’s and mine. We actually had to wake up both kids in the morning. I consider this the last year that this is going to happen. Livi came down stairs to see that Santa had come and brought lots of gifts.
One of the first gifts Livi opened was lipstick (lip-sip). She has a lot of learning to do..
After opening at our house, we wasted no time and moved on to Columbia, where Santa had come again. Lucky kids!!
Livi got a pretty new Hello Kitty necklace from Auntie Steph and C.J.
Auntie Steph and I had fun with Livi’s sticky hands and Jake’s head.
Lee got some cute new boots.
And a new vanity.
After opening presents and eating lunch, we decided to play baseball upstairs. Botow was the pitcher and Livi was the hitter. She is such a natural little athlete. Sports will definitely be in her future.
Brooke captured the best shot here.
Jake showed that he just likes to stand around, as long as he has something to support him.
Livi got introduced to the kittens that Mima and Botow found in their backyard. They are nursing them until they get a little bigger and then giving them away.
And some video of Mima’s house at Christmas.
Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Eve
Since we knew there was going to be an obscene amount of Livi presents, we decided to open presents from the Florida family on Christmas Eve, and then the South Carolina family on Christmas day. This turned out the be a great way to go, as our day was very long, as was Christmas Eve.
Lee and Jake got lots of great stuff, and were very excited. Livi is a present opening machine, opening all her stuff as well as Jake’s. It was hard to slow her down.
Livi saw a package that was just as big as she was. She was very curious, and tore into it, finding a Livi sized Cinderella.
Jake had a lot of fun with his presents as well
And then there was the princess book with the crown that played music. We initially thought it was voice activated, but quickly learned it was motion activated, which Livi never really became privy to. But it sure was entertaining.
It was a fun Christmas Eve and are very thankful for all the fun gifts Jake and Livi got from Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Gail (and Merle too I guess) and Steph and Matt!!

Santa
We visited Santa a while back. This year was much better. Livi still didn’t want to sit on his lap, but agreed to sit on the box at his feet. We will miss our crying series with her, but do like that she is showing a little more interest. Jake as usual is a trooper!!

Christmas Songs
This Wednesday at 10:30 is Olivia’s first Christmas program at school. We have no idea what to expect, but know we will be very entertained. She has been singing Christmas songs all month and talking about how she is going to be Marry, or baby Jesus, or an angel, or even Joseph in the play. We have no idea, but are excited.
Here is her doing some of her singing.

Elf Package
Olivia and Jake received a package from Elf a week or so ago. There were all kinds of goodies in there for both of them. The little tree was Olivia’s favorite. It now sits in her room by her bed and every night she asks to remove the star and put it back on. She also has to give all the ornaments a quick touch before turning off her light. She just loves it. The red noses were a hit as well.
