Livi and I were both sick this weekend. She seems to be feeling better and I am on antibiotics for my sinus infection. Saturday morning Brooke was away at a conference so Livi and I were just hanging out feeling bad together. She went into her room and got her pillow, blanket and piggie and brought them out to the living room to lay around and watch TV. She knows how to relax. She did that little setup herself.

More Angry Birds
Just had to post a close-up of how good she is at manipulating the iPad with Angry Birds. I only showed her 2 times. And tonight when I said “ok, bath time, give me the game”, she immediately pinched the screen so it went to the homepage, closing the game, with out even giving it a second thought. Yikes!! She will teach me a thing or two soon.

Angry Birds
I have been using an iPad for the past week, borrowed it from our IT department. I love having it for the convenience, and Livi loves it for Angry Birds. She always either asks to play the piggie game, or to see pictures or videos. She is already an expert, swiping end even screen pinching to close programs. It is kind of scary. She can even pause the game, and choose a different level. Go LEE!!!
P.S. If I sound strange in the video, it is because this was one of her 6:00 mornings and I was TIRED!!

Valentine’s Day
Livi had a pretty good Valentine’s day. Along with the fun stuff she got from her family (in and out of town) she got a great haul from school. Valentine’s day at Young World consisted of a pizza party. Lee was very excited about it and told us about it when she got home. All was good until about 10:30 when we heard her start crying on the monitor. We went in to see what was wrong and she was doing her pain cry. She didn’t want to be hugged, touched or anything, she said her belly hurt. I went out to the store and got some children’s pepto tablets, but she wouldn’t eat one. We got her calmed down by letting her sit up on the couch and watch Tinker Bell. She calmed down a bit and when the first commercial came on, she got up, said “ok, it is over, time for bed” and went to sleep.
I asked Ms. Ashley the next day what she ate and the answer was pizza, cupcakes, cookies, candy, soda. Ok, now I understand the stomach pains. Poor Lee. If she is my daughter, I am sure she didn’t learn any lesson from that!!

Play Ball
Livi’s new favorite game is playing catch, or kicking a ball. She can’t get enough. Any spare minute is, “come play catch with me Daddy, it will be so much fun.” We spend lots of time throwing the ball to each other, then she likes me to roll it to her so she can kick it. She has excellent timing and foot/eye coordination. When it gets warmer, I look forward to playing with a bigger ball outside that she can kick really hard.

Shadow Dancing
Livi has just discovered her shadow and is amazed by it. Everywhere she goes she comments on it when she sees it. Even in the bathtub she watches it. She likes to see me pour water from a cup and watch the water’s shadow on the bath wall. I have yet to make shadow puppets, but am looking forward to trying that out!

The Entertainer
It is becoming more and more apparent that Olivia will be in some form of entertainment when she gets older. She keeps Brooke and I laughing every time we are are around her. The stuff that comes out of her mouths is crazy. She gets more talkative each day and her imagination is out of control.
Saturday afternoon we were sitting around when Livi came up the the sunroom door and started singing “Honkeytonkbadonkadonk.” She heard it once on the radio while she was taking a bath about a month ago, but has never mentioned it since. Suddenly Saturday, it awakened like a sleeping giant and had us laughing (and embarrassed.) She loves to put on a show!!

Crusty Crabs and Chicken Heads
Friday when I picked Livi up from school, I noticed that she was in her backup clothes, so knew something was wrong. Her normal teacher had left for the day and left word that Olivia was mean to other kids and telling stories (lies) all day, as well as having an accident on herself on the playground. Needless to say Mommy and Daddy were very upset. When we confronted Livi at home and asked what she was doing to be mean to all the kids, she lowered her head and in her quiet voice said she called them all “chicken heads.” It was all we could do to keep from laughing, mainly because chicken and meatball have become her favorite words. Everything is chicken. Look at that chicken book, I am sitting in the chicken chair, wash my chicken hair, look at that meatball car. Not sure what she did to be mean, but I am sure the chicken head comments were just for fun.
On a lighter note, Zoe has a skin tag on her belly that Olivia noticed the other day. She asked me what it was and I told her it was a skin tag. A few hours later Olivia went up to Brooke and told her that Zoe had a crusty crab on her. It struck us as funny so I had to get a video of her saying it. The Crusty Crab is a place in Sponge Bob Square Pants that they watch sometimes at school, and I think that is where the reference comes from.
Oh, I just have to post this, as I sit here writing this post, Brooke was in the shower. We heard the shower curtain open and Olivia asked what that was. I told her mommy was taking a bath. She looked at me and said “So she took her shirt off?” I said yes… Then she tilted her head and said “then she took her nipples off?'” Took me a while to catch my breath from the laughing.

School Crafts
I wanted to post a quick look into the crafts that Olivia does a school. Well, actually Ms. Ashley seems to do most of the projects, but Livi seems to enjoy them. The snowman is Olivia’s footprint. We usually get quite a few crafts at the end of the month that the kids did throughout the month.
The first picture is Olivia with her Lego invention. She made a “rocket ship.” She is getting very good at building things with Legos.
