New Toy
I have also not mentioned (or maybe I have) that at Young World she has graduated from the highchair to sitting at the table with all the big kids. She now arrives in the morning and goes to the table and gets set in a chair and eats her toast like a little girl. We don’t do this at home yet but need to start working on it here as well.

Father’s Day Ducks
I had a good time keeping the bread right at Olivia’s feet so the ducks would keep surrounding her. She didn’t seem to mind. Livi did get a little mean a few times with hitting, shame on her. She is the pied-piper of ducks in this video.

Father’s Day Goats and Donkeys
We also fed Goats and a very noisy donkey. During the feeding of the goats, out of the dark barn in the background came this donkey trumpeting very loudly. As soon as Olivia saw that and saw the donkey coming at us she immediately ran to me with her arms up and a concerned look on her face. There was no crying but she was close. After she saw that the donkey was friendly, she relaxed a bit.

Father’s Day Feeding Horses
Here is video of Olivia (mostly me) feeding the horses or ‘neighs’ as she calls them. I am not sure if the little one is a miniature horse or just a baby. I think it is miniature because the gray one was a newborn a few months back and didn’t look like that small one. You can start to get a good look at Olivia’s mosquito bites in these videos.

Father’s Day
Had a fun Father’s Day. We went to the Thornwell Farm early so as to avoid the heat and brought carrots, celery, and bread (for the ducks at the pond afterwards.) Olivia had a great time there (videos to follow later this week.)
After the farm we went to PC’s duck pond and fed the ducks. Olivia has no fear when it comes to ducks. She actually acted like they weren’t there most of the time. We then headed home and put Olivia down for her nap as she was up until 10:00 PM the night before because we went to a dinner party. She was soooo sleepy.
After her nap, Mima and Grandpa Rob came over for hamburgers and hotdogs, of which I ate way too much, but it was so good. Olivia filled up on chips on Saturday night and Sunday, and we are paying for that today with her diaper gifts. No more junk food for a while Livi!!

Pre-Bath Time
This is what Olivia does when it is close to bath time. She gets crazy around 6:30. In this instance, she wasn’t necessarily crazy, but still was very active and of course STALLING!! We found her short dancing segment especially funny.
I am only keeping this video up for a few days so enjoy it while you can.

More Rain Coat
Here is a little more with the raincoat. Forecast is no rain this week, so we will have to wait a little longer to put it to use.

Ready For A Rainy Day
Olivia received a package in the mail yesterday from her Grandma and Grandpa. It was a new raincoat and rain boots. Now Olivia is all set to go stomping in the rain and mud next time we get a downpour (which could really be any day now.) I am excited to see it in action and to see Livi’s reaction being out in the rain. She especially likes bending down and playing with the butterfly antennae on the boots and threw a small fit when we tried to take it all off.

The Big Bed
On her way to bed, since Olivia was being a little silly that night, Brooke decided to let Olivia lie down in our bed for a minute or two to see what she would do. She loved it and probably would have slept there if given the chance. It was fun seeing her all tucked away in real covers and real pillows. Soon Livi, soon, you will have a bed of your own. I also wouldn’t put it past Brooke to sneak Olivia into our bed in the middle of the night sometime. I can imagine I will wake up and there will be little Lee lying between us sound asleep. I know this because the other night Brooke just had to have a quick middle of the night Livi fix and went in and got her and snuggled with her on the couch for about 20 minutes. Livi slept right through it except for the one time she opened her eyes and immediately gave her “shock face” because she was excited to see her Mommy instead of her own empty bed.

Rain Rain Go Away
Ugh, we have had such heavy rain recently. I hate it because it happens on the weekends when we could be out doing fun stuff. Olivia seems to like it though. One day I need to actually take her out into the rain and see what she does. Nothing better than a little Livi experimentation.

Who is that?
Olivia has been getting good at knowing the dog’s names. I also love the way she actually says Lulu, such a cute little voice. Now we need to work on Grandma and Grandpa before July. Oh and in the last clip, what is that sound in the background. Couldn’t be a vacuum cleaner again could it?? This could turn into a drinking game. Every time there is a vacuum cleaner or the sound of a vacuum cleaner in a Livi video, you take a drink. I doubt you would make it through page 2 without passing out.

The Mole
While Brooke was in the kitchen Friday, she noticed a cat with something in its mouth. She went out to rescue what ever creature the cat had caught and found it was a baby mole. She got a bucket and caught the mole and brought it inside to see if it was OK. The mole ended up being fine, and Olivia got to experience her first mole as did Brooke. They kept it around so I could see it when I got home for lunch, then we released it back into the wild. It sure was a cute little guy, and Olivia loved it too.

Laser Beams
On Memorial Day Steph decided to try out the laser pointer with Olivia. Livi seemed to be part cat as she chased it around the room. We haven’t brought ours out at our house yet, but I am not sure we can do that with all of our dogs around. It would be a stampede.

She Sees Everything
This morning as I was making breakfast, Olivia sidled up to the gate and started saying “pop-eyeeeee, pop-eyeeeee.” I started wondering why she suddenly thought of popcorn already this morning. Then I looked on top of the microwave where she was looking and pointing and saw that Brooke had made some the night before and left a little in Tupperware on top of the microwave.
She has also added a few new words. Peetzee for pizza, and she always asks for her books. Kitty cat is making a come back now though. She can’t say kitty cat, but she is now saying a variance of kitty, which is good!

Memorial Day
We had a fun Memorial Day this weekend. Sunday we went down to Rob and Marcia’s to have lunch and work on the new deck. Auntie Steph was also coming down for the day. We left early so we would have plenty of awake Livi time.
When we got there, Rob and I went to work on the deck and everyone else played with Olivia. We had trouble because the rain kept coming off and on and we would have to adjust working around it. We put Olivia down for her nap and went and got pizza for lunch. As we sat around eating we listened as Olivia struggled with falling asleep. It was one of those days for here where she just didn’t want to nap. At one point she was very quiet, but Steph heard some quiet rustling, like wrapping paper or something, so Brooke snuck up to see what was going on. Olivia had somehow reached her baby wipes on the bed and pulled each wipe out one by one.
It was a mess, but we salvaged it by putting them all in a plastic bag and have been using them at home for little Livi messes. I think she thought that with all of us coming into the room and seeing the mess that she was free from her nap, but she was VERY disappointed when we laid her back down and left the room. Livi did eventually fall asleep and slept for a short time at least.
When Olivia got up we all went up stairs and played some pool. She loves watching the balls on the table, and really loves it when they fall in the pockets (which doesn’t happen much when I am shooting.)
She also loved the rain and thunder. She made her excited face a lot and Steph put her on the window sill and she got to get a first hand view of all the rain.
It was a fun Memorial Day. Just think, exactly one year ago today Olivia was taking her first crawling steps in the same upstairs family room. Such a big girl!
