Brooke bought Olivia some sunglasses at the store the other day. She seems to like them and makes funny head movements when wearing them. She comes up to us and says “glasses on, glasses on” but then will take them off and play with them. She sure does look cute in them when she does have them on though. We still have yet to take her outside with them. Soon!!

Play Guitar
Ever since we have gotten our sliding glass door fixed so that it now opens and closes easily, Olivia has been opening and closing it herself. We try to stop her but she can be pretty sneaky. I have to now figure a way to lock it open. I have a few ideas. The other problem with her opening it herself is that she can get her fingers caught between the two doors when opening it. The other day she was standing there and saying “fingers, fingers, fingers” I looked over and her fingers were stuck between the doors. Had to help her pull them out. She still didn’t learn her lesson.

Halloween Costume Runner Up
When Brooke was 2 years old she was the Cookie Monster for Halloween. Then when her sister was 2, she wore the same Cookie Monster costume as well. Now that Livi is two, the costume still exists, though it is old. We already got her a costume for this Halloween but since Marcia brought Cookie Monster over this weekend for us, we just had to put it on Livi and see how it looked. She was a little hesitant to have it on at first but liked it once it was on, that is until we tried to put the head on. You can see the happiness that is there when she is the little blue blob, but notice the pout when she is wearing the head.
It is a hard choice not to have her wear this for Halloween, but I really like the costume we got her as well. We will just have to see what happens on Halloween!

Tutu Princess
Livi likes playing dress-up. She likes wearing her pink tutu and now likes wearing her necklaces. Don’t know why she needs to have her shirt off for it, but she loves it.
Also, we finally got Olivia a shopping cart. Brooke has been talking about it for a while. Livi loves her stroller, and figured she would like to push something around that could hold more stuff. We went to Toys-R-Us last weekend and found this for her, and bought some food to put in it as well. We had the gender-neutral red cart in our hands, but it had been opened and probably returned, so we chose the pink one. I am glad we did because I think she is cute with it.

Randomness
Just some random pictures of Livi. We took these the other day and just thought they turned out cute.. She is not normally this photogenic.
Oh, and you can see that Aunti Steph’s influence is still staying strong ;-)

Gigglebugs Again
Sunday we took Olivia to Gigglebugs again with her friend Ellie. Livi always has a good time here, mainly because once she gets here she does not care about where Mom and Dad are anymore and is free to run wild. She even liked crashing the birthday party that was going on there, especially when Spongebob came out and danced to music. She just goes and goes and doesn’t look back. Of course, as the day wore on, she ended up doing what she does best, grabbing a vacuum and playing with stuff other than what we were there to play with.
Afterwards we went out to Applebees and had dinner. Definitely not one of her better dining nights, but not bad. She left a creepy little cat doll (from a happy meal) under the table that was in the bar area below us after she decided to throw it. I am glad to see it go, it was too weird for me.

Sock Girl
Livi loves putting on any item of clothing that isn’t her own. Recently she got a hold of my socks and decided she wanted to wear them. She got them on a little, but I helped her pull them all the way up. She looks like she has creature legs in these.

French Maid
Livi’s new favorite toy is the feather duster. We are glad that she hasn’t learned that you can pull the feathers out of it or else we would have a big mess on our hands. The other night she had fun dusting the TV and table. We had to stop her when she turned her attention to Chili. He wasn’t too happy.

Radio
Livi has learned where the ON button is on Brooke’s alarm clock radio. Now, every time before bath, she walks in and turns on the radio. Last night, after bathing and getting her jammies on, she pressed the button and started dancing. Guess she wasn’t ready to settle down and have story time quite yet.

Night Ice
Olivia is feeling a little better now, however we still give her some cough medicine before bedtime. Since she hates the medicine so much we have decided to give her her ice pops after medicine. We are trying to teach her “If, then” if you take your medicine, then we will give you some ice. Don’t know if it is working or not, but she loves her ice. We even let her hold it by herself if she sits at the table. She is cute, she asks me to cut it after her bites because she doesn’t get the squeeze from the bottom idea yet. Soon she will be doing it all on her own like a pro.

Slow Blog Weeks
Not much new has been happening these past few weeks, so that leads to slow blogs. Olivia is now almost exclusively in a booster seat for dinner, and lunch on the weekends. I think she likes it better tan her highchair. She is also able to climb into it all by herself (not that we encourage or even let her do it, but it has been done.)
Livi has been fighting off a cold for the last few days. She has not been herself, very irritable, but we will get some good Livi moods throughout the day, but a lot of wimpiness. She has had some fun in her sandbox recently, though she got a lot of mosquito bites from that day. She will occasionally look up at us and say “itch, itch.” We try to keep Calamine lotion on it as much as we can but it gets very messy. She just seems to be more allergic to mosquitoes than normal. She gets huge wilts.
On top of all this she has more teeth coming in. The drool is like a fountain at times. She also puts her finger in her mouth and whines. Right now we are watching her on the monitor coughing and whining. poor Lee, get better soon!!

Potty Part 2
Last night Livi came up to us and said “pee pee, pee pee” So since it was very close to bath time we took her in, set her on the potty and she peed! Very proud of our little girl.
