Computer

Livi has been asking a lot recently to play on the computer.  I grabbed my old one and set it up for her on pbskids.  She had a good time playing around on the different learning games, and Jake would just sit there laughing and watching his favorite person in the world play.

Children’s Museum

We went to the Greenville Children’s Museum on Saturday.  We had a great time.  We had the usual meltdown around 11:30, but other than that we can’t wait to go back.  We didn’t bring the good camera so don’t have many pictures.  We make up for that with a 20 minute video.  I don’t have time to go through and edit it shorter so take it or leave it.

Happy Eater

Jake is the happiest eater I know.  Every time he takes a bit of food (though it must be finger food that he feeds himself) he laughs and smiles.  Here is a look at what dinner time is like for Jake.  You can also see that he loves playing peek-a-boo with me over the counter.

Snow Day

We had our annual snow day in South Carolina Saturday.  It started out as light rain, then light hail, then turned into snow.  We got out the jackets, boots and gloves and went outside and made a snow lady.  We had a lot of fun right up until Olivia started crying about snow blowing into her eyes.  At that point it was a total meltdown.  She started crying and wanting to go inside.  We told her we had to put a smile on the snow lady first.  Lee started crying again and said “No smile, put a frown on her!!!  I don’t want her to smile, I want her to have a sad face!!!”  It was too funny.  Poor Lee.

 

Valentines 2013

Olivia and Jake received a few packages on Valentine’s Eve, so we decided that they could go ahead and open them that night.  They got a package from Grandma and Grandpa and another from a family friend.

Lee also had a Valentine’s Day party at school and from what I hear ate a lot of candy.  Between what we got her, Mima and Botow got her, and Grandma and Grandpa got her, she will be candied out for quite some time!

Milkshake

Livi has not been doing so well at school lately.  They get stamps for each area that they behaved well in, with 5 stamps possible.  Last week she was bringing home 2 and 3 stamps each day.  Brooke told her that if she brought home 5 stamps she could have a milkshake.  Well she got 5 stamps Monday so I took her to Sonic on the way home for her first chocolate milkshake.  She got brain-freeze w/in 5 seconds of pulling out of Sonic.

She got the hang of it the rest of the way home though and loved her first shake.  If she keeps getting 5 starts, there will be more shakes to come.

Valentines Cookies

Brooke and Olivia made cookies for a few of our neighbors.  Livi is becoming quite the cookie maker (and eater.)  She is getting better at following instructions, when she chooses to.  The cookies turned out great!!
