The Pigs Are Back

First, when heading home yesterday we saw a horse walking in our neighborhood.  It actually crossed the busy street to get to our neighborhood.  Was very odd seeing someone riding a horse on streets, but this Clinton, so I guess nothing is out of bounds here.

Since the weather was perfect yesterday, we took Olivia to the farm after we finished our final Christmas shopping.  We grabbed some apples, sliced them up and headed to the farm.  Livi was very excited when she saw where we were going.  It has been a long time since we visited.  The first thing we noticed was that the pigs were back.  Well, not the same pigs, the original ones were bacon, but these were new baby pigs.  Livi loved them, and was as excited to see them as we were.

After seeing the pigs and feeding the goats, we headed over to see the bunnies at Livis request (she still remembered exactly where they were and asked to see them.)  While looking in the bunny pen, we noticed a little mole like creature slowly moving around on the floor and asked one of the caretakers if the bunnies had babies.  They said “no”, but we insisted that there was some strange creature in there.  The caretaker came over and looked and sure enough, they were baby bunnies.  The mother was giving birth right that second and we saw three come out right then.  It was kind of exciting, but Livi didn’t seem to care much, and really wanted to go see the chickens.

After this Livi was hungry, which we deduced from her eating the apples we brought for the goats, and she started having one of her meltdowns that she has when hunger has her in its grasp.  We said goodbye to the farm and called it a day.
