There is a place at Young World, far away from the main building and all the little kids. It is a place of wonder, new toys, bigger playground, new teachers, and older kids. It is coveted by all who are in the main building and old enough to speak. This place is simply called The Red Building. Olivia has been singing The Red Building (TRB) praise since last year when she got to visit it one time . It is where all kids strive to be, and yesterday was Olivia’s time to move up. She had to say goodbye to her whale locker and chair (all the kids have an animal on their chair and locker to identify which is theirs.) She will now carry a backpack to school and learn more advanced things (though not really as advanced as if she were in a pre-K.) We really worked up the red building this weekend, telling her she had to be good or Monday she wouldn’t get to go. She was pretty good most weekend, except for a few mishaps. Monday morning she was so excited that there was not a single problem getting her clothes put on and brushing her teeth was a breeze, I even got a high-five during toothbrush time. Yesterday was the big day and she had a great time. Congratulations Lee for your big move up!! You are growing up too fast.
