Hi Man

I have decided that this year for Olivia’s birthday we will forego the clowns (yes, that is a relief to me), petting zoo, bounce houses, pools, or other high cost fun items.  Instead, we will just pay to have someone come over and mow the lawn.  We discovered Olivia’s favorite thing.

Pez From Florida

Livi received a package from Grandma and Grandpa the other day.  She was excited and we were able to use it as leverage to get her to eat her dinner.  You can tell from the video that she had been crying a lot before she got the package. She has been having crazy meltdowns in the evening, mainly because she hasn’t been napping much at school.  Well, at least this package cheered her up!!

Hargogocca

Rob and Mima bought Livi a harmonica a few weeks ago when she stayed with them for the night.  She played it non-stop on the car ride home.  She is such the little musician, now if she can just learn to pronounce it she will be all set.

Shorty

Today was Olivia’s haircut day.  Brooke decided it was time for it to all come off.  She looks so grown up now, and I think she even likes it.  I cant wait to see how much easier it is to clean in the tub tonight.

Oh yea, we also added a new face to her arsenal, the “gangster face.”  She loves making this one.

Then and Now

Yes, Olivia used to sleep in a laundry basket.  Now, she hardly fits.  She is growing up too fast!

Surprise

Saturday morning I had Zoolander on in the background, and Olivia happened to walk by during the “Coal Mine” scene:

She loved it, laughed out loud and said “again Daddy.”  So I played it for her a few more times. Now,  fast forward to Saturday evening with Mima and Boto, (who she spent the night with) she is sitting in the back seat of their truck and says “the black man says surprise!”  Kind of took Mima by surprise, so she asked what she said, and of course Olivia didn’t repeat it.  Later that night, Livi said it again.  We received an email asking what the story behind “black man says surprise” was, and we just started laughing.  Lee is a crazy girl sometimes.  You never know what she is going to repeat.

Livi has been getting very good at jumping.  Here is some video from about a month ago of her just starting to get both feet of the ground.  As of now, she is a pro!!

Khols

imageIt was a rather slow weekend for us.  Lots of laziness, however we did go shopping on Saturday.  We ran a few errands and among those was a stop at Khols.  While in Khols, Olivia really wanted to push the cart, but wasn’t very good at it.  It was like watching bumper cars rolling around.  She would get very upset though if you tried to help her steer.  We finished up having dinner at Olive Garden where Olivia was a very good girl.  The only incident was when Brooke lifted her up to bring her to the bathroom to change her, and Livi’s foot hit her plate, knocked it to the floor, where it shattered and cut the back of Brookes leg open.  Non stop bleeding for about 10 minutes.  All is good now though.

Olivia’s potty training is coming along well.  This weekend she constantly asked to use the potty.  Brooke and I were laying on the couches, with Olivia in the sunroom out of view, when I heard “Daddy, I pee-peed.  I sat up, figuring she wanted me to take off her diaper so she could sit on her little froggy potty, but when I looked out, she was standing in front of a pee-filled froggy potty, with her shorts on one side and her pull-up diaper wadded up on the other.  I had no idea she could take the pull-up off by herself.  Such a good girl!!
