A few of Brooke’s friends threw her a baby shower last weekend. We got lots of great stuff for Spatta 2.0, including a few things that Olivia was interested in. Livi loves her little princess towels that she has, and Spatta 2.0 got a few new ones. Livi had to try them out and make sure they were safe for baby brother.

Red Solo Cup
One of Olivia’s many talents is picking up songs that she hears at school and singing them at home. Her most recent “favorite” song. I think she likes it because it says “lets have a party.”
I keep forgetting to turn my phone sideways when taking videos recently. I fix it about 10 seconds in, but not sure why the first part is so blurry.

Breaking Ground
Friday was supposed to be our pre-construction meeting with the project manager. He called us when we were about 5 minutes away (out of a 30 minute drive) and cancelled due to car troubles, so we just decided to go ahead and see the land anyway. They plan to have the slab poured this weekend and be ready to frame next Friday. We are excited that it is finally starting.
Have you ever seen a cuter Prego?
Our little “angry face” as Brooke calls it in our retention pond.
View of where the house will be
View from our front yard, ghost town right now, we are going to have building going on for a few years around us.

Kick Kick Kick
It is inevitable, Livi is going to be a soccer player (or in some sport where a ball is involved.) Livi loves playing catch and kick, plus she is a tough little girl. Lets send this video to some recruiters!!

My Computer Girl
This weekend we decided it was time for Olivia to play with a computer the grownup way, with a mouse and keyboard. She has mastered the iPad, it is child’s play. So the next step is the mouse. I figured it wasn’t going to work well, but decided to let her move it around anyway. I was incorrect. She picked it up quickly. Even surprised me at what objects she could identify on the screen. It is amazing how much she really knows when she is learning with out actually knowing that she is learning. Now we need to maybe get her some alphabet games for the computer, she really seems to enjoy mousing around.

Mecca
There is a place at Young World, far away from the main building and all the little kids. It is a place of wonder, new toys, bigger playground, new teachers, and older kids. It is coveted by all who are in the main building and old enough to speak. This place is simply called The Red Building. Olivia has been singing The Red Building (TRB) praise since last year when she got to visit it one time . It is where all kids strive to be, and yesterday was Olivia’s time to move up. She had to say goodbye to her whale locker and chair (all the kids have an animal on their chair and locker to identify which is theirs.) She will now carry a backpack to school and learn more advanced things (though not really as advanced as if she were in a pre-K.) We really worked up the red building this weekend, telling her she had to be good or Monday she wouldn’t get to go. She was pretty good most weekend, except for a few mishaps. Monday morning she was so excited that there was not a single problem getting her clothes put on and brushing her teeth was a breeze, I even got a high-five during toothbrush time. Yesterday was the big day and she had a great time. Congratulations Lee for your big move up!! You are growing up too fast.

Her Stories
Livi started telling Brooke stories the other night before bed. She gets pretty creative with some of the, her little brain is working and has a pretty good imagination. She is also good at making up her own songs occasionally, but I haven’t had a chance to get any of those on video.
